Oh, look!
It’s Tuesday.
And if you recall–ahem–Tuesday was the day I mentioned you should drop by the blog. (That’s here.) While I don’t have a hot dog vendor on hand–I know, right? What a rip off–I wanted you to come here today so I could show you something.
-
:: Something big.
(Besides the header of this website–ha–which, by the way, has had an exciting facelift–do you like it?)
:: Something brilliant.
:: And something dangerous.
-
You should probably do that thing they do in the movies and run for cover. While screaming uncontrollably. And possibly tripping over a log. (Oops.)
Or, just sit back and watch. Here’s some popcorn. Don’t drink and drive.
Because two of the world’s most dangerously useful companies are about to slap each other’s asses and then join forces.
-
-
And we are not sitting in a tree.
Rather, we’re rolling up our (really cute) dress sleeves and working on a sleek, new, never-before-done collaborative project designed to help you take control over your marketing materials.
(You know, so you can take control over the other things that matter, too. Like profits. )
-
It’s called:
And it’s a:
Straight-to-the-point, easy-to-follow online DIY design + copywriting training for entrepreneurs and bloggers who need their marketing materials to look (and sound) pro–without having to hire a pro.
Think custom product badges, fancy “buy now” buttons, web banners, eBooks, PDFs, Twitter backgrounds, blog headers, business cards and more–and then, how to write compelling, utterly magnetizing copy to back it all up…and get your stuff sold.
The best part?
You don’t even need to be creative.

Who the holy smokes is Shatterboxx?
Shatterboxx is TMFproject disguised as a design agency–loud, dangerously ambitious, and always over the top on Wednesdays. And Mondays. And Thursdays. But definitely not Sundays–those are for pretending to do yoga.
Founder Jamie Varon and I have frolicked together in Paris, sucking on succulent cheeses, pretending to dislike berets, and walking hand-in-hand along the Seine. We meant to collaborate a year ago but then I snuck back to Chile and was busy drinking wine while she frolicked around the Eiffel Tower and got engaged. These things happen.
Co-founder Nicole Antoinette is Nicole Antoinette, founder of A Life Less Bullshit and the infamous yearly Bloggers in Sin City conference. Frankly, if you don’t know her, I’m not really sure what you’ve been doing with your life.
They’re one of the hippest, most impressive design agencies out there, having recently re-designed the official Bed, Bath & Beyond blog. (You, errr, know them, right?) Not to mention my pal in crime Kyle Hepp’s site, and a few other big players they’re not letting me disclose right now (Rahr.) And, of course, they’re one of my copywriting comrade Alex Franzen’s most recommended.
And they’ll be creating the step-by-step, DIY design tutorials for this course–handmade for people who don’t know how to design or make things look pretty. (I’m one of them – I’ll actually be going through this component of the course with you. Save us all.)
-
-
And, of course, then there’s us, TMF.
But you already know us. (And so does Rachael Ray, apparently, given that producers from the show have been emailing, which both delights and confuses me endlessly since WE ALL KNOW I CAN’T COOK.) (I guess that’s what special segments are for?) ANYWAY.
My team and I will be teaching the copywriting component of this course. The difference between this course and the regular copywriting workshop I run here at TMF? Well, a few things.
-
1.
This course is designed explicitly to teach you specifically how to create the immediate marketing materials you need most–product and service naming; taglines + teaser copy; writing yes-I-need-that sales pages (including headlines, calls to action, and how to get people to keep reading); social media profiles that get likes, follows and clicks; elevator pitches, book hooks, and more–so it’s quicker, punchier, and more to-the-point.
2.
It isn’t all video-based like the regular copywriting workshop. (Read: Less time-consuming.)
3.
You don’t just get fun, easy-to-understand, down-to-earth training on writing your marketing materials, but designing them, too. Because you shouldn’t have to wait a month for your designer to be available in order to make things happen. So now you’ll be able to easily create your own custom product badges, fancy “buy now” buttons, PDFs (think contracts and eBooks), Twitter backgrounds, web banners, blog headers, and more–without having any prior knowledge of design. This is something I could never offer you myself, and it’s certainly worth it alone.
4.
You get to go through this with us live. Every week. Hopping on light ‘n loose Q+A calls, and even getting your work reviewed by us, if you choose.

Want to see what we’re up to?
Hop over to the official Brandgasm site below, and be sure to enter your email over there so we can start the foreplay, and keep you posted when we open enrollment on March 4th.
In the meantime you may or may not also get exclusive access to highly-sought after photos of our B-faces (You know, our Brandgasm faces.)
You won’t want to miss this one–it may be the only time we offer this, and you won’t find a better (or more fun) DIY, step-by-step, no-experience-or-creativity-necessary training on how to make your website + marketing materials look professionally done, sound professionally written, and sell professionally MORE.
That is a profession, right?
