Hi! It’s almost 2014! BUT I SUPPOSE YOU KNEW THAT.
However, I’m guessing you’re probably making big plans, right? I’m also guessing some of those plans involve starting a new business, revamping an old one, launching a new program, revealing a new product, writing a new book, or having a brand new BABY. (Okay, maybe no baby. Or…maybe?)
I’m also guessing the thing you’re stuck the most on is THE NAME. It’s a common syndrome known among educated folk as: What the fuck do I call this thing?
Naturally, as a creative agency specializing in crafting messages with personality, names are important to us, too. We LOVE naming stuff. And we’ve got opinions on the right way—and the wrong way. Because no matter what you’re naming, one thing is certain:
A name isn’t just a name. It’s a marketing tool.
In fact, every single word you use is a marketing tool—one that’s either giving you legs…or taking ‘em out from under you.
While you might be leaving the name for last—or worse, brushing it off as trivial (I’m looking at you, people-who-think-the-quality-of-their-product-will-speak-for-itself), your name is your front line.
And weak front lines lead to weak bottom lines.
